Maria Immaculata Council #3390 is the official Knights of Columbus council for two Catholic parishes located in the city of Durham, North Carolina. Since 1951 the Knights of Maria Immaculata council have served the Durham community through programs that support the church, the clergy, families and youth. Membership in the order is open to all Catholic men, 18 years of age or older, who are committed to making their community a better place, while supporting their Church.

The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic fraternal service organization. Founded in the United States in 1882 by Fr. Michael McGivney, it is named in honor of Christopher Columbus. There are more than 1.7 million members in 14,000 councils located in the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Guatemala, Panama, Dominican Republic, the Philippines, Guam, Spain, Japan, Cuba, and most recently in Poland. For their support for the Church and local communities, as well as for their philanthropic efforts, the Order often refers to itself as the "strong right arm of the Church".
